Workshop & Training Terms
These terms apply when you or your group register for a Montage à Trois workshop or training session (“Workshop”), whether held in Austin or at another location, including festivals and touring events. They supplement our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By registering, you agree to these terms.
Eligibility
Workshops are open to adults 18 and older. We do not offer Workshops for or involving minors. If you’re registering a group, you’re responsible for confirming every participant meets this requirement.
Registration and Fees
Registration is confirmed once we’ve received your registration form and payment or deposit, as specified for that Workshop. Fees are as listed at the time of registration. Group and festival rates, where offered, will be confirmed in writing before payment is due.
Cancellations and Refunds
- More than 14 days before the Workshop: full refund, less any non-refundable venue or travel costs already committed on your behalf.
- 7–14 days before the Workshop: 50% refund.
- Less than 7 days before the Workshop: no refund, but you may transfer your registration to another person or a future session of the same Workshop, subject to availability.
- If we cancel or reschedule a Workshop: you’ll receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a rescheduled date, at your choice.
The Nature of This Work
Our Workshops involve movement, physical staging exercises, and discussion of intimacy, boundaries, and consent as they apply to performance. Some exercises may involve close physical proximity, guided touch, or emotionally candid discussion; none involve actual nudity, sexual contact, or content beyond what’s disclosed in the Workshop description in advance.
Participation in any individual exercise is always optional. You may decline, modify, or step back from any exercise at any time without explanation, and doing so will not affect your standing in the Workshop.
Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver
Participation in movement-based and physically interactive training carries some inherent risk of physical strain, minor injury, or emotional discomfort, even when facilitated by trained professionals following industry-standard safety practices. By registering, you acknowledge this risk and agree that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Montage à Trois is not liable for injury or discomfort arising from your voluntary participation in Workshop exercises, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
This waiver may not be fully enforceable in every state, and where a Workshop is held outside Texas, a state-specific waiver or additional consent form may be provided at check-in to comply with local requirements — that document controls for that session where it differs from this one.
Please tell us in advance, and your facilitator on the day, about any injury, condition, or limitation we should be aware of so we can adapt exercises appropriately. This is a request for your safety, not a substitute for your own judgment about what your body and comfort level can accommodate.
Code of Conduct
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, non-consensual contact, or disregard for a fellow participant’s stated boundaries. Violating this code may result in removal from the Workshop without refund.
Photo, Video, and Media
We may photograph or record parts of a Workshop for our own promotional or training-archive purposes. We will identify when recording is happening and give you the option to opt out of being included — participation in the Workshop itself is never conditioned on agreeing to be photographed or recorded.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by Texas law and, where a dispute arises from a Workshop held in another state, we’ll work in good faith to resolve it under the terms above; nothing here waives protections you have under the law of the state where the Workshop was actually held, to the extent those protections can’t be waived by agreement.
